SUP Yoga

Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga classes bring your mat, your breathe and your drishti to the water.

All classes will offered on the calm lake or river water in the St. Croix River valley. You will be guided through SUP basics and a sequence of poses focused on calming the breath, bring awareness to alignment and strengthening postures that aim at welcoming balance and calmness while on the water.

You will be guided through basic yoga sequences starting with poses such as cat/cow, expanding onto Sun A/B and a balance modification with your paddle. The goal is for each individual to find comfort and stability on an unstable environment. And heck, maybe even play and laugh a little.

Example Class Structure

  • 9:15am – 9:30 am Warm Up and Launch
  • 9:30 am – 9:45 am Paddle warm out and anchor in water
  • 9:45 am -10:30am Yoga on the water with vasasana on the water, Namaste on beach
  • 10:30 – 10:45 am Paddle back to shore
  • 10:15 – 11:00 am Bring equipment to land, cool down
